Information For Readers

The European Journal of Taxonomy is funded and published by a consortium of European natural history institutions, and is fully Open Access. Consequently, authors do not have to pay any fees to publish and readers do not have to pay to access the content of the journal.

All papers published in EJT are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License (CC-BY) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of its authorship and initial publication in this journal. Provided that they conform to the CC-BY License, readers are welcome to disseminate the content of the journal by several means: distributing electronic copies or printed versions of the pdf file, posting links to the journal’s content (current or archive), subscribing to receive issue alerts (see below), emailing friends and colleagues about an article (see below).

Publication frequency and issue alerts
Each paper is published as an individual issue, and is made available when the corresponding author has approved the edited version (after proofreading).
Readers can subscribe to receive “new issue” alerts. Subscription is free and only requires an email address.

You can also subscribe to the notifications via the RSS feeds (RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0).

Format
At the moment, papers published in European Journal of Taxonomy are available in two file formats, pdf and pdf/A. In the future, we aim to publish each paper, in two further formats, html and xml.
